Referring to Pillar & Mind Clinic.
We accept referrals from GPs, paediatricians, psychiatrists, schools, NDIS coordinators and other professionals, as well as self-referrals from parents, carers and adults. Here is what you need to know.
Collaborative care, from the first step.
Mental Health Treatment Plan referrals.
Pillar & Mind Clinic provides mental health assessment and evidence-informed therapy for children, adolescents and adults via telehealth (Australia-wide) and mobile, community-based appointments within our service area. We accept referrals under the Better Access initiative with a Mental Health Treatment Plan, as well as private referrals.
We provide written feedback after the initial assessment and at the completion of each course of sessions, in line with Medicare requirements, and welcome contact at any point to discuss shared care.

- Presenting concerns, relevant history and any current diagnoses
- Current medications and other treating professionals
- Risk information we should be aware of
- Patient (and parent/guardian) contact details and consent to be contacted
How to send a referral
- Online: secure online referral form via Halaxy, coming soon.
- Email: info@pillarandmindclinic.com.au
- Phone: 0434 491 145 to discuss a referral
Schools & educators
Wellbeing staff, teachers and learning support teams can refer a student with parent or guardian consent. Helpful information includes observed concerns, supports already in place, and any learning or behavioural assessments. With consent we collaborate on consistent strategies across home and school, and can provide school-based appointments within our service area.
Parents & carers
You do not need a referral to book for your child or yourself. With a Mental Health Treatment Plan from your GP, eligible sessions are bulk billed at no cost to you. Not sure whether we are the right fit? Send an enquiry and we will let you know, or suggest a more suitable service.
How Medicare worksOther professionals
Paediatricians, psychiatrists, allied health professionals, NDIS support coordinators and community organisations are welcome to refer or discuss a potential referral. We value shared care and will keep you informed with the client’s consent.
After a referral is received.
We make contact
We contact the client (or parent/guardian) within 1–2 business days to discuss the referral, answer questions and confirm the appointment type that suits best.
Intake and first appointment
A secure intake form is sent through Halaxy, and an initial consultation is booked via telehealth or a community-based visit.
Feedback to the referrer
With consent, we send a brief summary after the initial assessment, outlining our understanding and the proposed plan.
Ongoing collaboration
We provide updates at review points and are available to discuss progress, risk or shared-care questions at any time.
Send a referral or talk it through first.
Use the online referral form, email us, or call during business hours. We aim to respond to all referrals within 1–2 business days.
